Optimizing Navigation: Findings from Human Resources usability testing

This report summarizes usability studies conducted on hr.uiowa.edu with participants from various career levels across the University of Iowa. The study focused on the ‘Careers’ section of the site’s main navigation and was a collaborative effort between University Human Resources and the Office of Strategic Communication Web Team in 2025.

My responsibilities included study design, leading user testing, developing research questions, analyzing and interpreting findings, and writing this report, which was formally presented to Human Resources. For this project I was also nominated for an Iowa SPOT Award for Exceptional Performance in leading the testing while providing recommendations that improved user experience and strengthened Iowa's web presence.
